a. With the riser card assembly upside-down, remove the riser card by loosening
the two screws that attach it to the riser card assembly sheet metal top.
b. Fasten the new riser card, i.e., the PCIe riser card in this example, using the two
screws.
2. If the PCI add-in card slot was empty before installing the new card, remove the
add-in card filler panel.
3. With the riser card assembly upside-down, slide the PCI card onto the sheet metal
and attach it to the riser card connector. (“A” in
Figure 30
)
Be sure that the PCI card edge connector is seated in the riser card connector
correctly.
4. Fasten the PCI card to the riser card assembly bracket using the retention screw.
