Operating/Maintenance Tips
CHANGING THE POWER NOZZLE BELT (cont)
Make sure the Brash Roll Bristle Height Adjustment
setting (1, 2, or 3) is the same on both ends as when the
brush was removed. See below for discussion of the
Brush Roll Bristle Height Adjustment (1, 2, or 3). Place the
belt and Brush Roll back into the nozzle. One of the plastic
Brush Roll ends is larger than the other, thus the Brush Roll
will only fit in the nozzle one way.
Then center the belt on the Brush. >
6
Replace the Rug Plate by placing it on the front of the
bumper first and then pulling it over the bumper on
the rear of the Power Nozzle (25). Secure the Rug Plate
using the two latches that hold it in place. >
7
Using the handle on the Belt Lifter (20), turn it to the
left (counter-clockwise) until the red arrows line up.
This will stretch the belt in preparation for returning
the nozzle to the Sentria
™
system.
Now you are ready to re-attach the Power Nozzle and
re-engage the belt. •
ADJUSTING THE BRUSH ROLL HEIGHT
The Brush Roll bristles wear away after long periods of use.
This reduces cleaning efficiency.
However, the ends of the Brush Roll are adjustable, so you can
extend the bristles, allowing the brush to work like new again.
The Brush Roll on a new Sentria
™
system has three settings:
one notch, two notches and three notches. The greater the num-
ber of notches, the farther the bristles are extended. Use the one
notch (1) setting for delicate carpeting such as berber. Use the
two-notch (2) and three-notch (3) settings to extend the bristles
to compensate for bristle wear. >
