Assembly Instructions
Assemble units as described herein only. To do otherwise
may result in instability. All screws, nuts and bolts must be
tightened securely and must be checked periodically after
assembly. Failure to assemble properly, or to secure parts
may result in assembly failure and personal injury.
Installing Top Power Infeed
WARNING:
Assembly of all
mechanical frame components
must be completed before
making any electrical
connections. All electrically
connected furnishings must also
be mechanically connected.
1. To assemble the panel trim,
bring the two halves of the trim
together over the horizontal rail
and the top infeed harness where
the infeed harness comes out of
the panel (Figure 34).
Note:
Panel top cap on the
adjacent panel should be
installed at this time.
2. Insert a screw into the hole in
each half of the trim. The screw
will go through the trim and into
the boss on the opposite piece of
trim (Detail H).
3. Tighten the screw until the two
halves of trim fit snugly together
(Detail I). The screws should not
be over tightened or the boss
may strip.
4. To cut the hole in the ceiling
tile, use a plumb-line or level to
transfer the position of the panel
trim opening up to the tile.
5. Position the two halves of the
power pole in the cutout in the
ceiling tile, around the infeed and
any data cabling, and snap the
cover closed. Lower the power
pole so it sits in the top of the
panel trim (Figure 35).
6. Position the two ceiling trim
halves near the ceiling and snap
them together around the power
pole. Slide the trim against the
ceiling. Trim the ceiling tile as
necessary (Figure 36).
7. Once power pole to panel trim
is assembled, cut the top cap (of
the panel) to the length of the
horizontal rail that is exposed
and complete the power pole
assembly (Figure 36).
