In the
Add LAN Instruments
dialog box, click the
Add Address
button to add the 86100D.

In the Enter Instrument Address field, select
Use Hostname
and enter the 86100D’s computer name
that you recorded in
shows an example of this dialog box with the
settings configured.

In the
Optional Connection Information
field, select
HiSLIP
. The
Device Name
should be listed as
hislip0
.
FlexDCA uses the HiSLIP protocol.

In the
Instrument identification
field, select
*IDN
query.

To confirm your settings, click the
Test Connection
and
Identify Instrument
buttons.

Click
OK
to close the dialog box.
