2. InfiniiMax III Probe Heads

N2836A InfiniiMax III Solder-in Probe Head

Soldering in a new axial resistor

Touch the soldering iron to the side of the hole. When the solder in the

hole melts, the resistor lead will fall into the hole.

Remove the soldering iron as soon as the lead falls into the hole.

Again, the thermal mass of the joint is very small so extra dwell time is

not needed with the soldering iron to ensure a good joint.

When complete, measure the resistance from the coax center

conductor to the resistor tip with a DVM.

The DC resistance should measure 450 ohms.
