4. Wait until the unit has booted and reconnect as “manager”.

The AP: /unit-11 is the only AP available in the AP tree.

The AP: /unit-11 is now running in the network element bootloader
(bco5n_rxxxx).
5. Open the MF “Main” and select the tab “Software”.

If the desired NE ESW is not available on the unit select the COGE5
NE ESW (co5ne_r2bxx) in the list of “Software On Element Manager”
and click “Download”.

Wait until the download is terminated and the ESW appears in the list
“Software On Unit”.
6. In “Configuration” select the downloaded ESW under “Software”.

Check that “Software Installation” is set to “Manual Start”.
7. Execute “Apply”.
Please note:
When the COGE5 unit is running in the network element bootloader the
“Save to NE” command is executed automatically when the configuration is
modified.
→ The operator is not allowed to execute a manual “Save to NE” com-
mand.
8. Start the new software.

In the MF “Main” of the AP: /unit-11 click the command button “Start
Software”. This reboots the control unit.
9. Wait until the unit has booted, disconnect and reconnect as “manager”.
Result:
The AP: /unit-11 is now running in the unit bootloader
(bco5u_rxxxx).
Result:
The AP: /unit-11/neController is running the NE ESW
(co5ne_r2bxx).
End of instruction
Please note:
To exit from the UN bootloader a UN ESW must be configured and applied
at the AP: /unit-x, Main - Software before restarting the unit.
