Picture 3-7 Web Client Interface
3.2.3 Password Reset
1) If user enters a wrong user name or password for 3 times, the camera IP will be locked up for 10
minutes, during which user cannot login to this camera. If user forgets the password, reset the
password. Click
“
Password Reset
“ and a window will pop up, as shown below.

2) Click the password reset link first and the following picture pops up with the Serial Number filled by
default. Please input Email address and Verification Code manually.
Click “
Get Security Code
”.
3) Login to the email address to get the security code and fill in
“
Command
” blank in Picture 3-8 and click
“
OK
”.
4) Please remember the new password (admin123 by default) shown in the popup window and click
“
OK
”.
The device will reboot.
5) Re-login to the web client with the new password.
For security’s concern, go to
Settings > System >
User Security > User
and modify the password. Please refer to the chapter of
User Management
.
Note: Alternatively, you can scan the QR code in Picture 3-8 with a mobile device and complete this
step.
