3. Start Up
Please refer to the
Quick Start Guide
for the installation and wiring of the device. After installation, electrify the device.
When the batteries are fully charged, press on the switch for 3s to power it on, or connect it to the original power
adaptor to start it automatically. To power it off, press on the switch for 3s or disconnect it from the power adaptor.
Note: When powering it on or off through the original power adaptor, no need to long-press the switch. When
pulling out the power adaptor and the camera still has electricity, it will not shut down automatically.
3.1 Client Installation Conditions
Operating System: Windows 7 or newer versions
Browser: IE7.0 or newer versions (excluding IE11.0 or later), Firefox, Google Chrome (41 and below
versions)
Processor: 3.3 GHz CORE®3 series or newer version or other equivalent processors
RAM Memory: 4GB or above

This manual will take IE8.0 as an example.
3.2 Initial Configuration
3.2.1 Activation
When the device is used for the first time, user needs to activate it through either IPCSearch or Web client.
When it accesses to wired network, user can activate it through either IPCSearch or Web client; when it
accesses to wireless network, user can only activate it through web client.

Activate Through IPCSearch
1) Get IPCSearch from the attached CD or from
https://www.kedacom.com/softtools/index.jhtml

2) Run IPCSearch and the system will search devices in LAN automatically and display the list as
shown in the above picture. Select the target camera.

Click “
Batch Processing
”. In the popup interface, set admin user
’
s password and the email
address to claim the password. Click
“
Activate
”
and wait for rebooting, as shown in Picture 3-2.
Please wait patiently till the button recovers. Select the device again and click “
Login
” or
double-click the device to enter the login interface of web client.
