Dial Backup Features
The connectors ST4, ST5 and ST6 (ref. to fig. 6,2) provide the contact to
the dial backup board.
Remove the DBU board from its black antistatical packaging. At the
component side of the board are three connectors that fit into the
connectors of the main board. Fix the DBU board with the component
side down on the main board and check for proper installation. Fix the
board with the safety screw M2 x 5 as shown in fig. 6.3.
Now the modem housing has to be closed. Insert the front side into the
lid of the lower part of the casing and fix the two parts of the casing with
a slight press until the fixing bracket snaps in with an audible sound.
Your modem is now operational again. Please refer to the following chapter
for further information concerning dial backup applications.
