7.1 Maintenance schedule
7 Maintenance
Note
KaVo would like to point out that the STERIclave B keeps a record of the number
of sterilisation and maintenance processed completed.
Failure to carry out sufficient or any maintenance operations can lead to premature
defects which will not be covered by the warranty.
▶ Proceed with caution when carrying out cleaning and maintenance work in order
to ensure that the
STERIclave B will continue to operate for the duration of its forecast service life.
7.1 Maintenance schedule

Bowie&Dick test or Helix test
Prior to each sterilisation Clean the instruments carefully
In the event of soiling
Clean or replace the fresh water filter
After 60 cycles
Clean the STERIclave B:
Clean the tray holder and trays
Clean the drain filter
Clean the chamber
Empty the used water tank
Fill the fresh water tank
Dry the chamber
Every six months or after
400 cycles
Microbiological tests
Every twelve months or af‐
ter 2000 cycles
Maintenance by a trained engineer
After every two years
Run a safety check according to VDE 0701-1.
Note
The measuring point is specified for the safety check.
