4.4 Preparations
4.4.1 Fill the fresh water tank
Note
For technical reasons, the STERIclave B tank is empty on delivery.
Average water consumption per program sequence: 150 to 260 ml.
A full tank will contain enough water for approx. 5 program sequences.
CAUTION
Use of poor quality water
Poor quality water can cause calcification on instruments in the chamber and on
trays. Other liquids and additives can cause irreparable damage to the STERIclave
B and put users at risk.
▶ Only use high-quality distilled or demineralised water (conductivity ≤ 15 μS/cm;
hardness ≤ 0.02 mmol/l).
▶ Never use tap water, even if it has been filtered or treated with water softeners.
▶ Never use distilled water for batteries. It may contain harmful sulphuric acid.
▶ Fill the fresh water tank.
The maximum capacity is 2.6 litres.
