9. Repeat step 7 several times until the water drained out is clear.
10. Add coolant
11. Run the engine for 5 minutes with the radiator cap off (1).
12. Fill the radiator until the level reaches the neck of the filler.
13. Replace the cap if the gasket is damaged. Close the radiator cap (1).
Selecting the coolant
the machine is delivered with long life coolant. This is a corrosion and deposit resistant antifreeze. The machine can then
be used for two years without changing the coolant either in summer or winter. When it is time to change it, we
recommend using a similar long life coolant.
Mixture percentage for coolants
The long life antifreeze/water ratio determines the
freezing point of the solution. Select a dilution hat
corresponds to a freezing point around 5°C below your
lowest foreseeable temperature. The normal ratio is 30
% to 50 %. If less than 30 %, rust formation may be a
problem, while more than 50 % can cause overheating.
Always use fresh clean water for mixing the coolant.

SPECIAL OPERATING CONDITIONS
Working in extreme atmospheric conditions (very high altitude, very high/low temperatures, salty water or very
dusty/sandy worksites) can make special maintenance necessary. If the machine is to work in such conditions, certain
precautions must be adopted o prevent damage and minimise wear and degradation of the components.
EXTREMELY LOW TEMPERATURES.
1. Condensation may form in the fuel tank and freeze. The ice may block the flow of fuel in the ducts, thus stopping the
engine. This hazard can be reduced by keeping the fuel tank as fully topped up as possible during the cold season. If
the water in the fuel should condense in the tank, drain the tank and fill it with fresh fuel.
2. Always use he recommended lubricants in relation to the ambient temperature - see the table in the manual’s
Lubrication Chapter.
3. The battery is probably the component most vulnerable to low temperatures, and the electrolyte will freeze more
easily the lower the battery charge. On machines with batteries, keep the battery charged, especially if the machine is
not used for a long time. The battery could also discharge if the terminals are covered with ice or snow and short
circuit. Make sure to keep the terminals and clamps dry. Remove any signs of corrosion with water and sodium
carbonate. In case of long periods of disuse at very low temperatures, remove the battery and keep it out of the cold.
