 DANGER
Risk of accident if the device rolls away. Af-
ter completion of the pushing procedure,
pull down the unlocking lever and thus re-
activate the parking brake.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage. Do not push the device
faster than 7 km/h.
Note:
Take the foot off the accelerator pedal,
press the emergency-stop button and turn
the key switch to "0" to immediately deacti-
vate all functions.
 Unscrew the wooden board from the
top side of the packaging (will be need-
ed as a ramp later).
 Loosen the screws and remove the
wooden cage.
 Cut plastic packing belt and remove foil.
 Loosen the fixing at the wheels.
 Place the wooden board at the back of
the appliance on the pallet as a ramp
and attach with screws.
 Remove both blocks from behind the
rear wheels.
 Loosen the flexible steering shaft from
the pallet.
 Swivel the top part of the appliance to
the front and remove the steering
wheel.
 Remove the key from the steering
wheel.
 Remove the nut and the sleeve from the
upper end of the steering shaft.
 Leave the bushing and the plastic
washer on the shaft.
 Push the upper end of the steering shaft
from the inside through the drilled hole
in the control panel.
 Install the nut and the sleeve onto the
upper end of the steering shaft.
 Slide the lower end of the steering shaft
onto the end of the rotary shaft on the
bottom of the appliance.
 Swivel the top part of the appliance
back and check if the flexible steering
shaft slides down on the rotating axle.
 Remove the nut from the upper end of
the steering shaft.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage for the steering shaft. Only
turn the steering wheel when the top part of
the appliance is closed.
 Insert the steering wheel and straight-
align the front wheel.
 Pull out the steering wheel, align and in-
sert back.
 Fasten the steering wheel using en-
closed nut.
 Insert the cover in the steering wheel.
 Press the unlocking lever down to un-
lock the parking brake.
 Slide the appliance backwards to re-
move it from the pallet.
 Push the lever for locking the the park-
ing brake upwards.

 Open the closure of the filter chamber.
 Swivel the lid of the filter chamber up-
wards.
 Turn the locking device into a horizontal
position.
 Insert filter bag.
 Turn the locking device into a vertical
position.
 Close the lid.
 Snap the closure into place.
 Turn the programme selection switch to
Drive.
 Turn main key to "0" and remove it.

 Push the locking lever inwards and hold
it there.
 Turn the driver plate in a counter-clock-
wise direction.

 Compress the spring and remove the
retaining ring.
 Place the pad on the driver plate and
align it on the collar in the middle of the
driver plate.
 Attach retaining ring, push it down and
let it snap in place.
 Press the pad down on the driver plate.
 Push the locking lever inwards and hold
it there.
 Lift the driver plate and push it against
the catch in the polishing head.
 Turn the driver plate in a clockwise di-
rection until it has snapped into place in
the catch.
 Release the locking lever.
Note:
Take the foot off the accelerator pedal,
press the emergency-stop button and turn
the key switch to "0" to immediately deacti-
vate all functions.
 Carry out maintenance jobs "Prior to
operation" (see section "Maintenance
and Care").
 DANGER
Risk of accident. Prior to every operation,
the parking brake must be checked for
proper function on a level ground.
 Press emergency-stop button.
If the appliance can be moved by hand, the
parking brake is not engaged.
 Pull up the reset lever of the parking
break.
If the appliance can still be moved by hand,
the parking break is defective. Shut down
the appliance and call Customer Service.
 DANGER
Risk of accident. If the device does not
have an adequate braking effect on an in-
cline, press the emergency stop button:
Carry out the initial trials in an open surface
so that you familiarise yourself with the ap-
pliance.

DANGER
Danger of tipping if gradient is too high.
 The gradient in the direction of travel
should not exceed 10%.
