Before First Use
Remove any promotional material or
packaging from the iron.
When operating the iron for the first time,
test on an old piece of fabric to ensure
that the soleplate and water tank are
completely clean.
During the first use, some vapour may
emit. This vapour is due to the initial
heating of the materials used in the
iron. This vapour will not harm the
performance of the iron and is safe.
NOTE:
As an important part of
our quality control process, your
iron has been individually tested.
As a result, you may notice a
small amount of condensation
or water droplets on the inside of
the water tank. There is no need
for concern.
Filling the Water Tank
The Kambrook FabriGuard One
Temperature Iron should never be
operated without water in the water
tank.
To fill the water tank, ensure that the iron
is disconnected from the power outlet.
Set the steam control switch to no steam
and hold the iron horizontally by the
handle. Open the water tank inlet and
pour in the water, ensuring it is filtering
through the anti-calc filter. Be careful
not to exceed the ‘MAX’ level (380ml)
indicated on the water tank.
Tap water can be used in your Kambrook
FabriGuard One Temperature Iron,
unless it is particularly hard, in which
case it is recommended that distilled or
demineralised water be used.
Using Your Kambrook Iron
CAUTION:
Never add
perfume, vinegar or
other chemical liquids
to the water in the water
tank. This could result in
damage to the iron.
One Temperature
The Kambrook FabriGuard One
Temperature Iron is specifically designed
to heat to the perfect temperature for
ironing on all ironable fabric types, from
the toughest denims to the most delicate
synthetics, without having to adjust a
temperature or fabric selection dial.
To begin ironing, ensure there is sufficient
water in the water tank. Plug the power
cord into a 230V or 240V power outlet
and turn on. The red heating light will
then illuminate, indicating that the iron is
heating up.
The iron will take approximately 2 to 5
mins to reach temperature. Ensure the
iron is resting on its heel throughout the
heating process.
When the iron reaches temperature, the
light will turn off indicating it is ready for
use. Simply slide the steam control switch
to the corresponding fabric to be ironed
(see Steam Selection Chart on page
9) and begin ironing. When changing
fabric types, adjust the steam control
switch accordingly.
NOTE:
The red heating light will
cycle on and off during ironing -
this is normal.
CAUTION:
Never iron
without water in the water
tank, even when dry
ironing.
