Machine function
For compression, atmospheric air is cleaned by the air filter and drawn into the compression cham‐
ber of the compressor block. The air is drawn in during the downward stroke of the piston. It is
compressed during the upward stroke.
The compressed air passes through the aftercooler and compressed air dryer into the air receiver.
A check valve prevents reverse flow of compressed air from the air receiver to the compressor
block.

Function of the compressed air dryer
The compressed air temperature is reduced in the air cooler before it enters the compressed air
dryer.
Any condensate arising is accumulated in the compressed air dryer pre-separator and drained au‐
tomatically at each regeneration cycle.
The compressed air dryer removes moisture from the compressed air and the filter element re‐
moves dirt particles. The result is dry, clean compressed air.
The timer module reverses the flow direction through the compressed air dryer at regular intervals
so that warm compressed air carries moisture out of the desiccant. This is known as regeneration.
Regular regeneration of the desiccant allows the machine to operate on 100% duty cycle.
