9.2
Returning devices
The following applies for returning devices for repairs or recalibration:
•
Use the original packaging or suitably secure shipping containers.
•
Enclose the completed accompanying repair form with the device.
The following also applies to devices that have come into contact with hazardous materials:
•
Enclose the completed accompanying repair form and the declaration of decontamination with the
device.
9.3
Cleaning the device and sensor
Clean the device/sensor with a cloth slightly dampened with water or an agent that is compatible with
the materials used to make the device.
To avoid any measurement errors caused by contamination of the measuring electrodes, clean the com-
ponents that come into contact with the medium (define the cleaning frequency according to the pro-
cess).

According to the EU Directive for hazardous materials, the owner of hazardous waste is responsible for
its disposal or must observe the following regulations when shipping:
All devices delivered to the manufacturer must be free of any hazardous materials (acids, alkalis, sol-
vents, etc.).
