6.1.3
Setting the closing speed of the shut-off valve
Attention
To prevent water hammer during closing of the shut-off valve, the closing speed of the
pneumatic drive must be regulated via the exhaust throttle of the solenoid valve.

Screw the hexagon socket head cap screw of the exhaust throttle fully in. Exhaust air outlet is
closed.
Screw the exhaust throttle out gradually and test the closing speed by activating the hand lever as
often as necessary until the desired closing speed is achieved.
If water hammer occurs during closing of the shut-off valve, the closing speed must be readjusted at
the exhaust throttle.
The closing speed of the shut-off valve must be less than the opening speed!

The opening speed of the shut-off valve can if necessary be optionally regulated by use of a feed air throttle
at the control air inlet connection (P).
The feed air throttle can be ordered as an optional accessory under order no.: 1610590.
