Brazier removal for cleaning (daily)
With the combustion chamber door open, lift the firebox upwards
to remove it (
F
ig
. 5-6
).
It is compulsory to clean the firebox thoroughly, making sure no
holes are clogged. Remove combustion residues and free all
the air passage with a screwdriver or a pointed tool (not supplied
with the stove).
Eliminate any debris in the brazier, turning it over with a tool and
with its tip remove any material that may be clogging it, striking
the inner walls of the brazier then shaking it.
Before replacing the firebox, check there is no ash or dirt in the
firebox housing. Vacuum this area thoroughly too (
F
ig
. 7
).
Make sure that the area where the firebox rests is cleaned well
(if the firebox does not sit well on it and air passes, the stove will
not start up and operates poorly).
After cleaning the firebox, make sure it is repositioned correctly
in its housing as indicated (
F
ig
. 8
).
The electric igniter element must be centred correctly in its seat
in the firebox and the seat must be perfectly in line with the
housing.
3.
Cleaning the combustion chamber and ash drawer
(daily)
The cleaning of the ash and combustion chamber should be
made when the ash reaches the edge of the same drawer; it
is strictky forbidden to light the stove if the ash goes beyond it.
Use the brush provided to clean the internal walls of the
combustion chamber (
F
ig
. 9-10
). Every day when you clean the
brazier also check if the drawer is empty.
With the combustion chamber door open, extract the drawer
positioned inside the stove at the bottom (
F
ig
. 11-12).
After
removing and emptying the drawer it is recommended to vacuum
the drawer housing to remove any ash residue. This maintenance
must be done when the stove is cold; it is prohibited to use water
to cool the ash or clean the inside of the stove. The use of a
vacuum cleaner is allowed only if the ashes are completely cold.
The drawer must be replaced correctly and get to the bottom and
there should be no residue of ash in front of or underneath it, if
residues are present, it could be interfering with the closing of
the door, therefore create an air leak in the combustion chamber.
