Ship list
The ADSL/Copper Tester typically ships in anti-static packing material to stabi-
lize the unit inside the box. The following items typically ship standard with the
SmartClass ADSL/Copper Tester, but can vary depending on the configura-
tion:
– SmartClass ADSL/Copper Tester unit.
– Universal Power Adapter — A power adapter designed specifically for the
SmartClass Tester is included. When supplying power to theSmartClass
Tester using an adapter, you must use this adapter. Additional AC line plug
adapters are also included.
– Carrying Bag
– 4 AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries
– Documentation CD. The User’s Guide is included as a PDF on the CD.
Safety information is provided separately, in printed format.
– Appropriate cables, depending on the configuration
– Ethernet Cable (for Ethernet connection, only included with ADSL
configurations)
– RJ11 Phone Cable (for DSL connection, only included with ADSL
configurations)
– Mini-banana to clip cable (for Copper connections, only included with
Copper configurations)
When unpacking the unit, verify that each of the standard items, and any
optional items you ordered, are included in the package.

ADSL features include the following:
– Qualification of ADSL2+ access service
– Supports the following standards:
– G.992.5 Amendment 1
– G.992.5 Annex M
– Supports INP >2 (Impulse Noise Protection settings greater than 2)
– Compatibility with ADSL1 service
– RE-ADSL support (Reach Extended ADSL2 - “Annex L”)
– IP layer testing over PPPoE, PPPoA, IPoA, IPoE including:
– IP ping
– FTP
– HTTP
– Terminate Mode testing
– Through Mode testing
– Field replaceable batteries
