Resolving problems

Make sure you are not behind a firewall; they can block ping responses from
reaching the host.
Issue
The upstream SNR is not reported or shown in the graphs.
Resolution
In some instances, the ATU-C does not properly exchange this information with
the ATU-R (it is reported in the EOC).
Copper test problems
The following section addresses questions about Copper testing.
Issue
The Tip-Ring voltage is reading negative.
Resolution
The Tip and Ring test leads may be swapped. Check your test leads to verify
that they are hooked up properly.
Issue
I am performing an opens/capacitance test. The mutual value looks good, but
the tip and ring values are really short.
Resolution
Verify the ground. The module must be grounded to the same ground as the
pair under test.
