Sending tones
The purpose of this test is to send a tone on a network cable. By default, the OneExpert DSL sends
tone on all the wires of a cable.
To trace cables using test tones
1
Do one of the following:
a
If testing a telephone cable, connect RJ-11 cable to the RJ-11
Wiring
connector on the
right panel of the unit.
b
If testing a network cable, connect RJ-45 cable to the RJ-45
Wiring
connector on the
right panel of the unit.
