Wipe away any spilled fuel or oil and allow to
evaporate, before moving or transporting.
Storing the mixture for long periods, will result in its rapid
deterioration. We recommend to add specific additives
to prevent the mixture from deteriorating over time.
Store the mixture only in suitable, approved containers,
in a safe place, and out of the reach of children.
Filling the fuel tank (5)
NOTE:
for safety reasons this product has been supplied
with the fuel tank (5) completely drained of fuel so the
engine will require “running in”.
When starting the machine for the first time, you may find
it a little difficult. Once the fuel has fully circulated through
the system, the engine will start and future starting will
be easier.
WARNING!
Risk of fire and explosion.
Refuel when the machine is switched
off!
WARNING! If the fuel has splashed
onto the machine or floor, dry it up
before starting the machine.
ATTENTION! Do not allow water or dirt to enter the
tank!
1.
Firmly position the machine so that the motor is in a
horizontal position.
2. Open the tank cap.
3. Use a suitable funnel to transfer the fuel mixture
from the container to the fuel tank (5).
4. Fill up the tank (5) without letting it overflow.
5. Close the tank cap firmly.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Starting the engine [F5]
Gently agitate the fuel mix by gently rocking the earth auger
backwards and forwards for a few times. This will ensure
that the 2-stroke oil has not settled out from the petrol.
1. Set the choke lever (10) to the OFF position ( ).
2. Press the primer bulb (11) until it is nearly full of fuel.
3. Make sure the STOP/RUN switch (8) is on the RUN
position.
4. Hold the machine firmly with one hand, with the other
handgrip the recoil starter (4) cord handle, pull it slowly at
the first time, then a little faster until the engine starts.
(CAUTION! Never twist the cord around your hand!).

When the engine has been successfully started and
is running smoothly, set the choke lever (10) to the ON
position ( ).
6.
Allow a brief warm-up of few minutes at no-load, until
engine runs smoothly.
Starting and stopping the auger bit (2)
(once the
motor has been started)
[F6]
ATTENTION! Be careful, at this step, the tool will start
to run!
1. Firmly grip the handles (3) with both hands.
2. Squeeze the throttle trigger (7) and the tool will start
to rotate.
Allow the auger to reach full speed before
commencing the boring operation.
CAUTION! If the auger bit (2) stops
suddenly, immediately turn the
machine off.
3. Releasing the throttle trigger (7), the auger bit (2)will
stop rotating. Wait a few moments for the auger bit (2)
to stop completly and for the engine to go back to idling.
ATTENTION! In case the auger bit (2) is still rotating,
turn the machine off and have the machine inspected.
Stopping the engine
1. Move the STOP/RUN switch (8) to the STOP
position.

Disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug
and securely keep it away from the spark plug and any
metal part.

Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if
present) cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of
the appliance will ensure efficiency and prolong the life
of your tool.

manufacturing and testing procedures, the repair should
be carried out by an authorized IVT customer service.
