For the machine to operate in any operating condition including maintenance,
the presence of more than one person is not required.
The use of several people is unnecessary and, however, is not permitted for
safety reasons.
The employer must train personnel on the risks of accident, on the safety devices and
on the general prevention and protection rules provided by the Community Directives
and by the legislation of the country of installation of the machine.
The operator must know the position and operation of all machine controls and fea-
tures.
He must have also fully read this manual.
Maintenance interventions must be carried out by qualified technicians, after having
appropriately set-up the machine.
The tampering with or unauthorised replacement of one or more machine parts, the
adoption of accessories that modify the use of the machine and of processing materi-
als other than those recommended in this manual, may be cause of risks of injury.

Hazards and residual risks - General information
All areas at risk have been evaluated during the project phase and, therefore, all necessary
precautions have been taken to avoid risks to people and damages to machine components.
In order to ensure the health and safety of the exposed people, the machine is equipped with
appropriate safety devices:

EMERGENCY
button to immediately stop the machine and STOP devices.
• Electrical devices for detecting power supply anomalies of the machine and malfunction of
the electric motor devices
.
As a precautionary measure for safety, it is necessary to check the regular
operation of the safety devices at the beginning of each shift.
After having carefully considered all possible risks related to the use and maintenance of the
machine, all solutions necessary to eliminate the risks and limit the hazards to exposed peo-
ple have been adopted.
