5. Drums (Fig. 58) should be stored under
a protective cover to prevent the entry
of water. Drums should be stored at a
slight angle, thus allowing any water to
run off the top lip. Drums of fuel should
not be stacked for a long period before
use.
6. Drums in use outside must have the
bung securely screwed down to prevent
entry of water.
7. Bulk or drum storage tanks should be
allowed 24 hours to settle before use,
after delivery or servicing.
