TROUBLESHOOTING
Interpack Carton Sealers are fabricated with high quality components that provide
trouble-free operation for a long period. However, should a problem occur, we
recommend that you consult the following table. If the problem you encounter is not
discussed in this table, call Intertape Customer Service Department (see page 3 of this
document).
MODES TROUBLE POSSIBLE
CAUSES SOLUTIONS
1,2 Air is supplied. Main
power is turned “on”
and nothing happens. 1- Overload
protection by circuit
breaker.
2- Top Tape Head
Box and/or
Stop/Start Box E-
Stop buttons are at
pushed position.
1- Check that all circuits are
"on".
2- Pull Top Tape Head Box
and/or Stop/Start Box E-
Stop buttons.
1,2 Cartons are not taped
properly. Tape Head is not
adjusted correctly. Refer to Tape Head manual.
1,2 The Top Tape Head
Box comes down too
quickly. Air Flow controls
need adjustment. Turn the air flow controls at
the bottom of the side
cylinders clockwise.
1,2 The Top Tape Head
Box has no action,
either at down, up or
half-way position.
Drive bases stay
closed onto a box.
When machine has
been activated
without box. Turn the operation selection
button on the Stop/Start box
to CLEAR and then AUTO
to resume operation.
