Moving an iQue Screener PLUS
Overview
Describes the procedure for safely moving an iQue Screener PLUS from one location to another within the same lab
or building. This does not include instructions for packaging the iQue Screener PLUS for shipment. If the need to
package and ship an iQue Screener PLUS arises, contact IntelliCyt Technical Support.
Shutting Down before a Move
1.
Shut down the machine as described the
Daily Shutdown
procedure.
2.
Empty all bottles and troughs.
3.
Wipe work surfaces down with disinfectant.
4.
Turn off ForeCyt and shut down the computer.
5.
Unplug power, data cables, and fluidics lines.
Moving the Instrument
1.
Due to its weight, 4 people are required to lift and move the unit.
2.
Prepare the destination location. Make sure there is adequate space, ventilation and power.
3.
Avoid shocks to prevent disturbing the optics.
4.
Use a cart with cushioned tires if possible. Alternatively, place the unit on a thick piece of foam.
5.
Lift by gripping the base tray
using the recessed cups
near each of the four feet as finger grips on the
underside.

Do NOT
lift by the plate rail extension.
•
Do NOT
tip the system when moving. Keep the system in its normal orientation.
6.
Be gentle when setting the system down.
