Daily QC
Overview
Running daily quality control is highly recommended. A daily QC check not only ensures that system performance
is within specification, but is also a useful diagnostic tool if issues arise. IntelliCyt makes the QC process easy by
providing reagents and pre-configured analysis templates. Daily QC should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
Procedure
The Daily QC test runs a set of Validation Beads and checks their performance against a set of standards. For each
fluorescence channel, the mean fluorescence and CV of the brightest peak is checked.
1.
Prepare Validation Beads by adding
2 drops
of
beads to
300 μL
Buffer Solution in a 1.5 mL microcentrifuge
tube.
Note: A single preparation of beads is sufficient for five days
of Daily QC runs and should last a week if stored in the dark at
2–8˚C.
2.
Vortex the bead sample and place the tube in the iQue Screener
PLUS tube holder.
3.
Ensure there is a Buffer cartridge in the Buffer slot in the fluid
trough holder.
4.
Add a plate to your current Daily QC Experiment.
5.
Run the plate (approximately 5 minutes).
