6.6 Non-hot Plug PCIE Card Option
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server
and remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCIE Riser cage.
CAUTION:
For proper cooling, do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot covers, or blanks installed. If the server supports hot-plug components,
minimize the amount of time the access panel is open.
1.
Power down the server.
2.
Extend the server from the rack.
3.
Remove the access panel.
4.
Remove the PCIE Riser cage (Full-height IO module. If it is a half-height IO module, skip to
next step).
5.
Pull out the expansion card, and replace it with a new expansion card.
6.7 Redundant Hot-plug Power Supply Option
CAUTION:
To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server
unless all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.

Remove the power supply blank.
