If the adjustable waist belt or decon belt is used, adjust the blower and belt on your waist over your
protective clothing. Adjust the waist belt for a comfortable fit - keeping the breathing tube and hood
behind the head and shoulders.

If the backpack is used, adjust the blower and backpack on your back over your protective clothing
using the shoulder straps. Adjust the waist belt strap for a comfortable fit – keeping the breathing tube
and hood behind the head and shoulders.
•
Switch the blower ON.
•
Place your hand inside the hood, in the area above the face shield. You should feel the air entering into
the hood.
•
Don the hood
: Place your thumbs on both ends of the padded part of the head strap with the visor facing
your body. Place the hood on your head; the padded part of the head strap should be centered on your
forehead. The pictures below illustrate the positioning of the head harness on the forehead.

Center the head harness in the hood slot after
making the sizing adjustment. Fasten the male
loose snap (opposite side of the D-ring) of the
head harness into the female end located on the
visor.
