7.4.4 Syslog Monitoring
The syslog function offers a complete logging of the Draco MV activities and switching operations
and surveillance of the function of critical components like fans or power supply units takes place
in this menu. During logging the activities are written continuously into logging files and stored
locally. Logging of system activities starts when the
Monitoring
menu is opened and remains
active until the tab is closed.
NOTICE
Syslog messages are transmitted via UDP. Therefore, port 514 within the used network should
not be blocked, e.g. by a firewall.

Monitoring - Syslog
To start syslog monitoring, proceed as follows:
Press the
Monitoring
menu item in the toolbar.
In the working area the configuration menu for the syslog monitoring is opened.
