■ Removing/installing the blades
〈Removing the blades〉
1. Turn the lower blade adjustment handles (left and right)
one―half turn in the counterclockwise direction to open the
gap between the bottom blade and the blades.
2. Place a block of wood underneath the blades so that it is
not resting on the front roller or rear roller. Move the han-
dle up and down until the blades are resting on the block
of wood.
3. Loosen and remove the two M8 bolts on the cutter cover,
and then remove it along with the front cover.
4. Loosen and remove the four M6 bolts on the belt cover,
and then remove belt cover.
5. Remove the belt holder.
6. Use an impact wrench to loosen and remove the wrapping
bolts holding the cutter pulley, and then remove the pulley.
7. Loosen and remove the four M8 bolts on the left cutter
metal : OUT and the positioning M5 screws, and then re-
move the left cutter metal : OUT.
8. Remove the rubber cap (thatching gear box) of the frame
on the right side, loosen and remove the four M8 bolts
(hexagonal socket bolts) on the right cutter metal and the
positioning M5 screws, and then remove the left cutter
metal : OUT.
!
The remaining three M8 bolts (with flush heads) are for cen-
tering the blades. When the mower is shipped from the fac-
tory, these bolts have been fixed so that the rear roller and
the blades are parallel. Do not loosen these bolts.
9. Slowly lower the handle downward. The blades are removed together with the lower blade stand.
Warning
!
Be sure to stop the engine before removing/in-
stalling the blades.
!
Wear thick work gloves or leather gloves when
removing/installing the blades.
Important
!
The blades (rotating blades) can be used up to
a radius of 5mm, and up to an outer diameter of
113mm (123mm when shipped from the fac-
tory).
