Fixing the arm requires two people!
(+ refer to "safety warnings" chapter!)
•
Remove the three screws (

) and flat washers (

) from each arm lock plate (

). On delivery, the
lock plates are affixed on the arm brackets (
11:4
).
•
Insert the first arm segment (

) between the two arm brackets (
11:4
) as shown in Fig. 11a.
•
Insert both lock plates (

) successively inside the arm tube and fix a flat washer (
11:2
) and a screw (
11:1
)
again into the middle hole of each arm bracket. Raise the arm segment in the vertical position, align it with
the two arm brackets (

), and fix the flat washers (
11:2
) and the screws (
11:1
) into the upper and lower
holes of the arm brackets (Fig. 11b). Tighten the screws (

) firmly. The first arm segment is now in
place.
•
Lower the arm tube with the crank (

), helping the movement by hand if necessary, up to the horizontal
position. Continue turning the crank to make sure that the mechanism is locked.
•
After loosening the screws (

), insert the second segment (

) into the first and --if the case arises--
the third (

) into the second, then align the red reflecting stripes.
•
Tighten the screws (

) firmly again to secure the second and third arm segments.
•
Check the alignment of the complete barrier with the roadway and adjust if necessary.

If no tip support is to be installed, tighten the nuts (

) firmly to lock the barrier on the sealing frame.
•
If the case arises, install the shrouds now referred in
paragraph [4.6. Fixing the shrouds].
