9. Commissioning
9.1. Notes for commissioning
Before commissioning the iPump A 3-11, the heating
side must be checked for tightness, rinsed thorough-
ly,
fi
lled and bled carefully. During transport it can
happen that threaded connections can be loosen
inside the heat pump by vibrations. To avoid dama-
ges on the heat pump and the installation area, it is
absolutely necessary that all pipe connections inside
the heat pump are tighten. Please check this during
commissioning.
Commissioning requirements
- The heat pump may only be commissioned by a
customer service engineer specially trained by iDM
Energiesysteme GmbH.
- The heating and any storage tank must be
fi
lled and
bled
- The electrical installation must be completed and
fuse-protected in line with legal requirements.
- The refrigerant connection pipes between the in-
door- and outdoor unit must be installed.
- The heat pump may only be switched on when the
refrigerant side and the heating side is
fi
lled and all
electrical connections are checked.
- At air source heat pumps a heating buffer tempe-
rature of min. 20°C must be guaranteed in order to
ensure the required temperature for the reference
defrosting.
9.2. Appliance and operation
The heating mode and the domestic hot water prepa-
ration are carried out automatically by the NAVIGA-
TOR 2.0 control.
For the operation of the NAVIGATOR 2.0 control a
separately manual is enclosed to the iPump A 3-11
documents.
Annual inspection and maintenance of the system by
customer service is recommended, in particular with
regard to upholding warranty claims.
9.3. Faults
The iPump A 3-11 is
fi
tted with various safety devices
to ensure that no damage can be caused to the
equipment in the event of faults.
If under unusual circumstances the heat pump fails
to work at any time, check the error display on the
NAVIGATOR 2.0 control. Detailed fault descriptions
are contained in the operating instructions.
Before the front part is removed for main-
tenance or repair work, it must be ensured
that the device is voltage free.
