6.1. Assembly of the indoor unit
The iPump A 3-11 must be installed in a frost-
protected room by an approved specialist. The room
temperature must be between 5°C and 25°C.
If the minimum size of the installation room falls below
the required value, the room must be designed accor-
ding to EN 378.
It is not permissible to install the equipment in humid
or dusty rooms, where there is a risk of explosion.
In order to avoid structure-borne sound transmissi-
ons, the heat pump must be installed on a horizontal,
level and weight-bearing surface (concrete plate or
similar).
In the case of
fl
oating screed, the screed and the
impact sound insulation must be recessed around the
heat pump to ensure low noise levels when the heat
pump is operating (see adjacent illustration). In the
shipment of the iPump are two pcs. of sound insulati-
on mats. The mats must be placed under the iPump.
The connections for the brine
fl
ow and return are
either on the right or on left side.
The connections for heating

ow and return

ow are
on the top, also the connections for cold- and hot wa-
ter and the circulation. The connections are described
on page 9.
The relevant laws, regulations and standards must be
observed, in particular EN 378 parts 1 and 2 as well
as BGR 500.
For maintenance work a gap of 600 mm
must be observed at the front and depen-
ding of the connection of the brine pipes,
on the right or left side of the heat pump
(see the opposite diagram).
