8-12 Emissivity
To more accurately measure materials with a low emissivity, an emissivity
correction is necessary. The emissivity displays on the LCD screen at the bottom
right corner as E:x.xx.
Change the emissivity
as follows:
1.
Press the C Key until the emissivity value is selected.
2.
Press either ◄ or ► on the directional pad to select a numerical value
placeholder.
3.
Press + on the directional pad to increase the number; Press - on the
directional pad to decrease the number.
4.
Repeat steps 2-3 until emissivity value is correct.
5.
Press and hold the C Key for 2 seconds to close the menu.
ACCESSING THE DISTANCE MENU ALSO ACCESSES THE EMISSIVITY MENU.
ENSURE YOU ARE CHANGING THE RIGHT NUMERICAL VALUE PLACEHOLDERS
WHEN ADJUSTING THE DISTANCE VALUE.

8-11 Distance
Adjusting the distance can assist the user obtaining more accurate temperature
measurements.
The distance displays on the LCD screen at the bottom right
corner as D:xx. Distance is measured in meters and cannot be changed.
Change the distance
as follows:
1.
Press the C Key until the distance value is selected.
2.
Press either ◄ or ► on the directional pad to select a numerical value
placeholder.
3.
Press + on the directional pad to increase the number; Press - on the
directional pad to decrease the number.
4.
Repeat steps 2-3 until distance value is correct.
5.
Press and hold the C Key for 2 seconds to close the menu.
