Maintenance

Turn the machine off and disconnect the mains plug.

Make sure the machine has cooled down before doing any sort of
maintenance or handling.

The extruder needs regular maintenance
in order for the printer to remain
functional. Remove any carbonated
filament on the extruder head and make
sure that the nozzle is clean.

The guiding rods and gears need regular
lubrication. Do not lubricate the belts !
–
Make sure no filament falls into the
machine as it may cause mechanical
failure in the machine. Remove any dust, or dirt around the machine.
–
Do not use a machine that is failing or has seized to function properly.
–
Do not store this device in damp or moist environments.
–
Check the machine calibration on a regular basis.

NEW PRINTERS : After a few prints with a new printer you should check all
moving parts, nuts and belts. Although every device is assembled with a lot
of care, some parts might have loosened during transport, shipping or use.
