Slicing and printing an STL file
A 3D model needs to be sliced into layers of code before the printer can start printing.
When a model is sliced, it is converted into Gcode. Gcode is used by machines that
work with or create 3D objects. The software included in the package on our website
includes Repetier Host 0.95. Slic3r is integrated in this software.
You can setup Slic3r inside the Repetier Host window when you click on the Slicer tab.
Configure the settings before slicing the object.
The settings of Slic3r depend on user preferences and the type of objects you are
printing. There are good guides online to explain the different aspects of Slic3r. The
standard settings usually suffice for your first prints.

working on a detailed Slic3r guide that corresponds with the properties of our
printers. The next chapter should give you a basic understanding of the various
settings of the printer and Slic3r.
