Layer height
Your layer height settings should be between 0,1mm and 0,3mm. Lower height doesn’t
always mean better print quality! Try out what the best height is for your machine. The
lower the height the longer your print will take.
Experiment with layer height to see what works best with your project.
Skirt
The skirt is the loop around your object before starting to print. It’s best to set the skirt
to 2 or 3 in order to push all the air out of the extruder before starting to print.
Infill
The infill is the percentage of material in the core of ‘solid’ objects. Printing a cube with
an infill of 0.3 for instance will only fill 30% of the inside, which saves you a lot of
filament. It is best to set the infill to 0.15-0.2 for normal objects and 0.35 for objects that
will be under heavy pressure like printer parts, for instance.
Support material
Support material: this is extra material printed in order to support some high bridges.
Suppose you want to print a sphere. There is no flat base sticking to the bed and
printing without support material will usually result in the object detaching from the bed
after printing a few layers. When support material is generated, extra material is
printed to make the sphere stick to the bed and to support the layers that would
otherwise be floating in thin air. This extra material needs to be removed from the
model after printing.

There is a lot more information online on these subjects. The online community has a
lot of good guides. Here are some of the better ones :
