Enable/Disable Call Home
and press
Enter.
Note:
If you receive a message stating that Call Home is already enabled,
ignore the message and continue.

Type the numeral corresponding to
Send a Test Call Home
and press Enter.
After a few seconds, the following message appears:
Test Call Home sent successfully
The TSSC Call Home queue lists the test message as a pending
transmission.
e.
Right-click an empty area of the TSSC blue desktop.
The

menu displays.

System Console Actions

screen displays.
Note:
If prompted for a user name and password, enter
service
in both
fields.

Call Home Queue
.
The
Call Home Queue
screen displays.
If the
Call Home Queue
is empty, the call might have already been sent to
the IBM Customer Configuration Profile File (CCPF) system.
Important:
Each TS7650 Appliance (3958 AP1) server must be under valid
warranty or Maintenance Agreement (MA) coverage, or it is rejected and no
record or Problem Management Report (PMR) is generated for the Call
Home event.

Click the Call Home Event Log link in the Call Home Queue window.
The

menu displays.

Select
Browser Functions

Call Home Log
.
The
Call Home Event Log
displays.
j.
Check the
Call Home Event Log
for a record that contains the serial number
of the applicable server.

If the record appears in the log, the test completed successfully.

If the record does not appear in the log, and service code 20 has been
registered for this system, and you are certain that the server has valid
warranty or MA coverage, contact your next level of support. If service
code 20 has not been registered then disregard this check.
