ProtecTIER is designed to automatically add the server to the
Attached
Systems
list. If it does not, you can attempt to add it manually using the IP
address assigned via the frame location number. The frame location number, 10,
20, 30 ... 240, is used for a range of IP addresses xx0 - xx9. If the frame location
number is set to 10, the IP address of the first node would be 172.31.1.10. For a
clustered configuration, the IP address of the second node would be 172.31.1.15.
5.
Manually add the server TSSC IP address in the box and click
Add System
.
Repeat this step for all of the servers that are being attached.
Note:
The TSSC search tool times out automatically if it does not detect the
system within several seconds of searching. If you are not able to complete
attaching the server to the TSSC, contact your next level of support. This action
must be completed to create the complex view definition.
6.
Configure TSSC 3958 AP1 frame definition. Verify that each system in the 3958
AP1 frame is attached to the TSSC. See Figure 51.
a.
Select the heading for
Complex View
.
Note:
All 3958 AP1 systems, both stand-alone and clustered, must be
defined as a complex system to the TSSC. The Frame number is the serial
number for service entitlement.
b.
Configure the TSSC 3958 AP1 frame definitions by entering the information
for the 3958 AP1 frame and clicking the
Add complex
button. See.Figure 52
on page 92 The frame serial number is the serial number printed on the
frame or on the frame sticker located near the bottom at the rear of the
frame. The frame serial number is used for entitlement of this 3958 AP1
frame. The frame number is the location of this frame and the beginning of
the range of ten IP addresses for use with this frame. The frame identifier is
a unique name that you must create to identify the complex.
