Attaching the diskette drive externally
You can connect the diskette drive to the external diskette-drive
connector and use it as an external diskette drive.
To attach the diskette drive externally, do the following:

Enter your computer into suspend mode.

Insert the diskette drive in the external diskette drive
enclosure, and connect it firmly.
You don't need to reboot your computer to recognize the
diskette drive every time you reconnect or swap the
diskette drive in your computer. You enter your
computer into suspend mode and reconnect or swap the
diskette drive. Your computer recognizes the diskette
drive after resuming.
