external
computer

the
network

Ethernet
switch

can
ping
the
external
computer,
the
Ethernet-controller
port
that
you
enabled
is
associated
with
the
switch
module
in
I/O
bay
1.
The
other
Ethernet-controller
port
in
the
blade
server
is
associated
with
the
switch
module
in
I/O
bay
2.
Communications
from
optional
I/O
expansion
cards
are
routed
to
I/O
bays
3
and
4.
If
you
have
installed
an
I/O
expansion
card
on
the
blade
server
you
can
verify
which
controller
port
on
an
expansion
card
is
routed
to
which
I/O
bay
by
performing
the
same
test,
using
a
controller
on
the
expansion
card
and
a
compatible
switch
module
or
pass-thru
module
in
I/O
bay
3
or
4.
Finishing
the
configuration
You
do
not
have
to
set
any
passwords
to
use
the
blade
server.
If
you
change
the
battery
or
replace
the
system-board
assembly,
you
must
reset
the
date
and
time
through
your
operating
system.
