d) Place the rear SAS cable and connector on an appropriate ESD surface.
e) Identify and label the front SAS cable or cables that are connected to the adapter you want to
remove. Pay attention to the locations of the connectors where the cable or cables attach to the
disk drive backplane and the SAS RAID internal adapter.
Note: Depending on which SAS RAID adapter is installed in your system, one or two front SAS
cables are connected to the SAS RAID adapter.
f) Press the connector latch (A) and unplug the front SAS cable or cables from the disk drive
backplane. Leave the other end of the cable or cables plugged in to the SAS RAID internal adapter.
