Chapter 4. System Management Services
The System Management Services provides a way to view information about your
computer and perform tasks such as setting passwords and changing device config-
urations.
If you are using a graphical display as your system console, use the Graphical
System Management Services below.
If you are using an ASCII display as your system console, see “Text-Based System
Management Services” on page 4-24.
Graphical System Management Services
To start the Open Firmware command line or graphical System Management Ser-
vices, turn on or restart the computer.
After the logo is displayed, initialization icons appear across the bottom of the
screen.
After the System Management Services starts, the following screen appears.
You may also press F8 to enter the Open Firmware command line and get the
OK
>
prompt.
