1.
Verify
whether
you
are
using
an
Advanced
Configuration
and
Power
Interface
(ACPI)
or
non-ACPI
operating
system.
If
you
are
using
a
non-ACPI
operating
system,
complete
the
following
steps:
a.
Press
Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
b.
Turn
off
the
blade
server
by
pressing
the
power-control
button
for
4
seconds.
c.
If
the
blade
server
fails
during
POST
and
the
power-control
button
does
not
work,
remove
the
blade
server
from
the
bay
and
reseat
it.
2.
If
the
problem
remains
or
if
you
are
using
an
ACPI-aware
operating
system,
complete
the
following
steps:
a.
Check
the
power-management
policies
in
the
operating
system
for
the
blade
server.
b.
Suspect
the
system
board.

CD

drive
is
associated
with
the
blade
server
that
you
are
configuring.
2.
Make
sure
that
the
blade
server
supports
the
ServerGuide
program.
3.
If
the
startup
(boot)
sequence
settings
have
been
changed,
make
sure
that
the
CD
or
DVD
drive
is
first
in
the
startup
sequence.
The
operating-system
installation
program
continuously
loops.
Make
more
space
available
on
the
hard
disk.
The
ServerGuide
program
will
not
start
the
operating-system
CD.
Make
sure
that
the
operating-system
CD
is
supported
by
the
ServerGuide
program.

of
supported
operating-system
versions.
The
operating
system
cannot
be
installed;
the
option
is
not
available.
Make
sure
that
the
blade
server
supports
the
operating
system.
If

does,

servers),
or
the
ServerGuide
System
Partition
is
not
present.
Run
the
ServerGuide
program
and
make
sure
that
setup
is
complete.
