Install
1.
Install new transmission temperature sensor.
See Figure 22.
2.
Connect transmission temperature sensor con-
nector to transmission wire harness as tagged
during removal.
3.
Remove lift truck from blocks.
4.
Connect the battery and close the hood.
5.
Fill transmission with oil. Check oil level. See
Periodic Maintenance 8000SRM1774 for the
procedure to check the transmission oil level.
REAR HORN BUTTON SWITCH
NOTE:
The rear horn button switch is an optional
feature on lift trucks covered in this service man-
ual.
Remove
1.
Raise the hood. Disconnect the battery.
NOTE:
Tag electrical connector prior to disconnect
to aid in correct reconnect.
2.
Disconnect rear horn button switch electrical
connector from chassis harness. See Figure 23.
3.
Remove two capscrews and inserts that attach
rear horn button switch and handle to the right
rear overhead guard leg.
4.
Remove switch and handle assembly from over-
head guard leg, pulling the wire and connector
through the holes in the overhead guard leg.

Install
1.
Insert wire and connector in the hole in over-
head guard leg and thread wire until connector
can be pulled through bottom hole in the over-
head guard leg. See Figure 23.
