4.6 Changing individual die segments
1. Retract the dies completely by pressing the die return button.
2. Remove inserted die set by using the enclosed change tool and pull the locking
pin until the die segment releases.
3. Ensure that chosen 8-segment die set is clean, undamaged and that all are
marked with the same number.
4. The die marking numbers should be turned towards you. insert the die while
pulling the locking pin with the changing tool, release the locking pin when die is
in fully in place.
5. Ensure that all dies are correctly inserted in the machine.
The measured crimping diameter can sometimes differ
slightly from the set (requested) crimping diameter
because of expansion of the ferrule on the coupling.
Compensate this by readjusting the setting dial.
