Emptying the vacuum pump / Draining the oil

WARNING

Hot surfaces

Risk of burns

►

Keep away from hot surfaces.

►

Allow the vacuum pump to cool down before
performing any work.

Proceed as follows for emptying/draining oil:

Switch the unit off at the main switch and unplug the power
connector.

Wait until the vacuum pump has cooled off.

Keep a suitable container on the floor under the drain tap to catch ≈ 1
liter of vacuum pump oil.

Unscrew the screw plug from the drain fitting.

Open the ball valve and drain the vacuum pump oil.

When the required fluid level is reached, close the ball valve.

Unscrew the hose nipple with hose from the drain fitting.

Screw the screw plug back into the drain fitting.

The filter element is to be disposed of in an environmentally correct
manner.

Emptying/draining the vacuum pump oil is complete.
