Centrifugal clutch
Clutch drum, drive axle
and AV element
Loosen the screws (A).
Loosen the centre screw (B) to be able to
pull the clutch cover off the shaft.
Pull out the drive axle from the shaft for
inspection and possible change.

Dismantle the clutch cover from the shaft.
Pull the drive axle out of the shaft.
Dismantle the AV element.
Remove the two clamping halves from
the shaft.
Dismantle the AV element.
1. Fold the upper clamping half upwards
so that its guide pin comes off of the
AV element.
2. Fold the lower clamping half down-
wards so that its guide pin comes off
of the AV element.
Twist apart the clutch.
Inspect and replace damaged or worn
parts.
Twist apart the clutch and inspect the
spring and lining with regard to wear and
damage.
The thickness of the lining must be at
least 1.0 mm at the most worn point.
NOTE!
Both clutch shoes should be
replaced even if only one of them is
showing signs of heavy wear. This is
to avoid engine vibration caused by
imbalance in the clutch.
NOTE!
Turn the clutch so that the arrows (B)
that indicate the direction of rotation
are visible from the outside.
Assembly
Check that the key way in the fl ywheel
and the key way in the crankshaft are
undamaged, as well as the key.
Fit the fl ywheel and centrifugal clutch. Do
not forget the fl at spacers (A).
