15.10 Adjusting the headlight range
Preparatory work
–
Check the headlight setting. ( p. 84)

Turn adjusting screw

to adjust the headlight range.
Guideline
The boundary between light and dark must be exactly on the lower mark for a
motorcycle with a rider (instructions on how to apply the mark: Checking the head-
light setting).
Info
Turn clockwise to reduce the headlight range; turn counterclockwise to
increase the headlight range.
A change in weight on the vehicle may require a correction of the headlight
range.
15.11 Changing the speedometer battery
Preparatory work
–
Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.
–
Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 82)

Main work
–
Remove screws

–
Pull the speedometer upward out of the holder.

Using a coin, turn protection cap

all the way counterclockwise and remove it.
–
Remove speedometer battery

–
Insert the new battery with the label facing outward.
Speedometer battery (CR 2032)
–
Check the O-ring of the protection cap for correct seating.

Position protection cap

and turn all the way clockwise using a coin.
–
Press any button on the speedometer.
The speedometer is activated.

Position the speedometer in the holder.
–
Mount and tighten the screws with washers.
Finishing work
–
Install the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 83)

Check the headlight setting. ( p. 84)

Set the speedometer. ( p. 21)
